Whitney wrote and recorded "The Perfect Man" which made its way up
the Independent Top 40 Charts. This catapulted her career as an artist and
songwriter. She started working with producer, Chuck Meyers. Meyers helped
develop her as an artist. He pushed her to reach higher and work harder.
Whitney Layne is
pursuing her life-long dream of being a professional singer/songwriter and
shows no signs of slowing down. She remembers vividly seeing the whole audience rise in
unison as she finished her rendition of "Broken Wing" at her 7th
grade talent show. She experienced a huge adrenalin rush and waves of emotion
as she realized that all of those people were standing in applause for HER! She
realized she never wanted that feeling to end and drove her to pursue her
dreams no matter the obstacles life would bring.
Anyone who knows her would describe her as positive and passionate about both
music and life in general.
"I feel so
blessed to be doing what I love everyday and to be writing with some of the
best songwriters in Nashville".
